Sharp Peak launches Optimus Marketplace: order building sensors inside the platform that already runs the site

Sharp Peak Consulting Limited today announced the general availability of Optimus Marketplace, shipping as part of Optimus 3.1. Facilities and workplace teams can now browse, order and preconfigure occupancy, air-quality and LoRaWAN hardware from the same portal they use to run the building — then optionally book certified installation — without a separate vendor storefront or side-channel email chain.
Marketplace sits in the Optimus admin shell next to Devices. Catalogues cover sensors, coverage-aware gateways and floor-ready bundles. Orders bind to the customer’s organisation, site and floor before fulfilment. Device identities and join keys can be provisioned into the customer’s ChirpStack network server so hardware arrives already mapped. New units appear in Devices with an “Arriving” status; live telemetry follows mount and join.
“Most smart-building programmes stall between purchase order and first uplink,” said Raymond Chan, Chief Executive Officer of Sharp Peak. “Marketplace closes that gap. If you already run the building in Optimus, expanding coverage should be an in-portal order — not another project.”
Alan Yeung, Chief Technology Officer, said: “Day-1 should be verification, not provisioning theatre. We register DevEUIs, push profiles and AppKeys, and pin devices to desks and rooms before the carton leaves the warehouse. Optional install crews work to a portal checklist so the customer sees mount, join and sign-off in real time.”
What customers can do from launch
Browse sensors, indoor PoE LoRaWAN gateways and curated floor packs sized to the live deployment, with filters for metric, power and network-server compatibility.
Ship hardware preconfigured for the destination tenant and floor, including ChirpStack device profiles and secure key push.
Map devices to spaces on the floor plan at configure-time, or leave units unassigned.
Add professional installation: site survey, after-hours windows, and an on-site checklist that syncs back to the portal.
Check out against organisation billing, purchase order or card, with cost centre and approver — enterprise PO review stays inside Optimus.
Track orders from preconfiguration through warehouse, carrier and install; follow shipment and tonight’s window from mobile.
Use coverage and booking signals to recommend the next sensors, and turn RSSI dead zones into a one-click order fix.
Indicative catalogue pricing shown in the portal starts from desk occupancy sensors, IAQ multi-sensors and indoor gateways, with floor coverage packs for typical open-office plates. Availability and lead times (including 3–5 day ship windows where stocked) are shown per SKU in the live catalog.
Optimus remains available as cloud, on-premise or hybrid. Marketplace is reached at optimus.portal / marketplace for current tenants.
